![]() Written By: Amy Alexander, Sales and Marketing Director By definition the word build means to construct something over a period of time, to incorporate (something) and make it a permanent part of. Sublime Homes is a builder, we follow by definition the meaning of the word--we put parts or material together over a period of time to construct something. As a builder; however, we do something more than construct a physical structure, we build people’s dreams, we are creators of communities, of relationships. This is something that is ever present within our community the Rose Garden. A little more than a year ago, this 22-acre parcel of land was just that. It was open land, as the developer, we developed the plan for the community. We curated the home plans, we worked to keep as much of the natural area as possible as part of the landscape . Sublime worked to create what will be upon completion 22 houses, a community of people, families taking our houses and turning them into homes. With the Rose Garden and other communities we build in we’ve worked hard to connect with our clients in a way that is more than transactional--it’s personal. These relationships are built quickly or over years. Some of our clients hop right on board and are ready immediately for us to build their dreams, for some the process is longer, or the time is not right and we have more time to learn about one another. You’ll always remember your first--the Bandyk family was my first qualified “lead” when I came on board as Sublime’s Sales & Marketing Director. Not only were they my first qualified lead, they were also one of our first families to want to live in our Rose Garden community and lock in their lot. Earlier this month, our team celebrated with their family as we broke ground on their homesite. After our ceremony, they shared with me a story that their daughter wrote. As the Sales & Marketing director, the relationship building is my favorite part. Well, maybe it's the relationship building and final reveal day. Maybe it’s the relationship building, final reveal day and the day we come together and break ground on the house. Whatever part is my favorite, the best feeling is the excitement our clients have as they embark on this building journey. When our clients work with Sublime Homes, not only are they getting a quality built home, but they are first owners, part of the foundation in which the community will grow together, as owners. It is thrilling to watch foundation after foundation being poured, wood becoming walls, houses becoming homes, land becoming a community. Our team loves what our trades have helped us to build, we are uplifted when we think about how our homes will bring families and communities together for years to come. Will your family be next? Written By: Amy Alexander, Sales and Marketing Director ![]() I was on a call the other day with a prospective client for about an hour. He came in as a lead almost a year ago. In this industry, a year or so of lead time is common as buyers start shopping early. Many are trying to get a feel for what’s in the market and what they can afford given their budget. This is especially true given the current trend we are seeing of many buyers making the choice to relocate from Illinois to Indiana to save on their property taxes. More often than not, buyers just want the reassurance that they can afford to buy new. For some it ends up becoming a reality, and for many others, they decide that they don’t have the time to wait for their new home to be built (6-7 months), so they move on to a used home. Nevertheless, many home shoppers know they want to move but they are often waiting for something like a life moment to happen to actually sign the contract. This prospect, that I mentioned earlier, called me and we had a nice conversation. It was one of those great calls where I was mostly listening while the prospect was doing the talking. He was asking all the right “buying” questions. Then he asked the question that typically comes up in one form or another, “why are you better than the other builders in the area, as I’ve been speaking to other builders and I want to know why I should build or buy from you?” I dislike answering this question as it puts me on the spot for me to bad-mouth another builder, which I will never do, but often believe this is what that shopper wants to hear. I start to talk about how we are different from other builders in the market. I discuss our small but mighty team, our communication process internally with our team and with our clients, the trade companies that we strategically and consistently partner with to ensure the high level of product we require as well as our sublime standards. Not too long ago we completed a house in the Preserve for a family and the owner shared with us one of the reasons they decided to work with Sublime Homes to build their home, was because the products and craftsmanship that go into each home and that our sublime standards, are other builders upgrades. My conversation with my prospect and the testimonial of my homeowner got me thinking. I really need a better way to showcase our sublime standards. There are so many different moving parts that go into the design, build and construction of a home that I’d be listing for days and your head would start to spin. I hope that this list that I’ve put together of our most commonly asked about standards is a good place to start. From there, if we’ve peaked your interest enough from our model, images and of course our standards, I’d love to educate you more on the building process and set you up to meet with our builder, Michael Graniczny and our amazing team. Like my friend (lead) from earlier in my post, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you even if it's only a couple of minutes--even better if it ends up being an hour! If you've had the opportunity to speak with me, you'll know I live for chatting! If you haven't yet called in, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you. 219-228-2280 X1 or send me an email amy@sublimehomes.com |
